Once ago in the animal kingdom, the Hummingbird was friends with the Tiger. A friendship that was undeniably strange but succeeded for various reasons. The Hummingbird asked the Tiger to lend him some money, and he would gladly pay it back when he got a little bit older. In respect of their friendship, the tiger gave him what he asked for. Day turns into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years, but the Hummingbird hasn’t aged a day. The situation slightly threw off the tiger because he couldn’t understand what was happening.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eOne afternoon, he met Antelope, with whom the tiger entrusted his problems. The Tiger simply explained how bothered he was by the situation, and he could tell that he was mentally unstable. The Antelope graced the tiger with laughter, and not in a good way. He told the tiger how stupid and ignorant he had been. To shed some light on the situation, the Antelope tells the tiger to visit the home of the Hummingbird and demand to see the father and the mother of the Hummingbird to be witnesses as he demands his money. The tiger did exactly that, and astonishingly, the father and the mother of the Hummingbird hadn’t aged a day, just like their son. His father was even a tad smaller than himself. The Tiger released the Hummingbird, but was not honest with him, so he angrily demanded his money. With no hesitation, the Hummingbird entered his room and brought out what he owed the Tiger. And before the tiger left his compound, he applauded him for figuring out everything. The Tiger couldn’t take all the credit, so he voiced out the name of an animal who helped him. Meanwhile, the Antelope and the hummingbird were one of the closest friends in the Kingdom, so the Hummingbird felt betrayed by his actions. As the tiger was leaving, he asked him to give a present to Antelope for a job well done. In the gift box were Kolanuts. Mind you, the Antelope has no teeth, but the Tiger did not know that. Antelopes were one of the animals the Tiger feared in the Kingdom. When the Tiger brought his present for him, he confessed in front of the Tiger that the Hummingbird knows he has no teeth, so why would he bring him Kolanuts? The \u003c\/span\u003eTiger's fear of the Antelope was no more, and all we know is he didn’t live to tell the story. The cow was indifferent as she lay dreamily on the field, munching on some sumptuous hay. Peace at last for all! The law was legally drafted for every animal to sign as a form of agreement. During the day of the law-making decision, the Tiger had travelled, so they sent the antelope hence he was one of the fastest animals to get to the tiger. The antelope did not disappoint; he delivered the documents to the tiger. As the tiger read through the documents, he realised he was greatly affected by the new law. How could he survive, he thought, but he had to sign the documents because he was solitary standing alone. After going through the brutal starvation for months, the tiger was as weak as it could be, and there was nothing he could do about it, so he did the most logical thing to rest and save his energy for another day. While he was inactive, a deep sleep fell upon him with his mouth wide open. The bat was flying when he saw the tiger helpless on the ground. His first thought was to abuse the new law by jumping up and down the tiger’s throat. He thought wrong because, on his fourth jump, he didn't come back out; the tiger just shut his mouth. The antelope witnessed what had happened, so it went to the elders of the kingdom. They called a meeting to confirm what the antelope saw. All the animals came gathering for a row-call. Opuro (squirrel, the collector), the bookkeeper started by calling out names, and if they were present, they responded present. Akura twima (wild mouse); present, Apotokura meefi (Sahyadris forest rat); present, Dr. Okusia (Bush Rat); present, judge Adanko (Rabbit); present, Otwee Kwabena Agyanka (Cat); present, lawyer Kutagene; present, Owansane Kwegyan; present, Sisi Kwabrafo; present, Koo Sebo (Tiger); present,3sereum Saa Gata (Lion); present, 3sono (Elephant); present, Apane dankwa (Bat); no response. He mentioned the name, again and again, no response. He immediately stopped row-calling because they figured out who was missing. The antelope came forward to say they need not investigate anymore. They should ask the Tiger because he has the most knowledge of what happened to the Bat. The Tiger denied his testimony. The elders at the panel concluded if that’s what the Tiger is saying, he should be taken to the hospital for an X-ray, better yet to be operated on by Dr. Kusia to clear his name and if Apanedankwa (Bat) is not found in the belly of Tiger, he will be free from all charges. Unfortunately for the Tiger, Dr. Kusia, who successfully operated on the Tiger did found out that the Tiger had eaten the bat. How did this come about? everyone's thoughts? For an explanation and a fair judgment, they trailed the case in court. His family found him a great representation; lawyer Kutadene defended him. During the trial, Judge Adanko (Rabbit) and the first witness, the antelope, were ready for his testimony. The Tiger was asked to explain how the Bat got into his stomach. With no hesitation, he started to explain. His lawyer concluded that the Bat had it coming. In his closing argument, he commented that his client is not guilty because the Bat saw the Tiger's leniency to be his weakness, and in the process, he died a foolish death.
